7 Things About Me You May or May Not Want to Know

I have been tagged and I can’t be more excited. Grace Boyle, a talented soul who I just started following on twitter (@gracekboyle) a few days ago, thought I would be a good candidate for the”7 Things You Wish You Didn’t (Or Did) Know About Me” meme. How does one pick just 7 things to share? Sounds fun.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Link to your original tagger(s) and list these rules in your post.
  2. Share seven facts about yourself in the post.
  3. Tag seven people at the end of your post by leaving their names and the links to their blogs.
  4. Let them know they’ve been tagged

So on to the fun part. The 7 things I think you may or may not want to know about me, in no particular order, are:

Number 1

“If I grow my hair for 6 months and then put a comb through it I can produce an exceptional afro.”

Number 2

“I am an avid golfer and have a 5.3 USGA handicap rating. I recently lived out one of my dreams by playing Pebble Beach.”

Number 3

“My father passed away when I was 17. 18 years later I still miss him but know, in the short time I knew him, he helped to shape me into the person that I am more than I knew he ever could.”

Number 4

“During my sophmore year of college I came very close to quititng school at Villanova to go to culinary school. I read “Becoming a Chef” and decided to stay at school, make cooking a hobby, and maintain a social life in my 20’s.”

Number 5

“During the first 3 months of  2008 I saw 11:11 or 1:11 on clocks at least twice a day, sometimes more. Angels or Devils, someone was trying to tell me something. “

Number 6

“I have skied in the following US states: Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, and Pennsylvania. I would like to double that number”

Number 7

“I recently got engaged (Christmas Eve 2008 to be exact) to a lovely woman name Kelly Eastman. When I first met her I told her she was too hot for me. I still agree with that. This picture cracks me up. I am not usually that “dramatic”.

It is time to pass the favor along. My 7 people include folks I would like you to know as well as those I would like to know more about. Drum roll please:

Michelle BB – [blog, twitter] – One of the best b2b marketers I have ever met and one of the few at Quaero who have embraced Twitter. We are currently having a twitter grader battle royale and she is one hell of a competitor.

Jason Jacobs – [blog, twitter] – Friend and founder of RunKeeper. It is great to watch someone take a dream and make it a reality.

Kelly Eastman – [blog, twitter] – My lovely fiance and talented Real Estate agent. She is also the one that keeps me pointed forward.

Jared Polin – [blog, twitter] – Extremely talented photographer and blogger. I love how he uses voice and images to tell a story.

Derrick Kittler – [blog, twitter] – One of my best friends, talented technologist, and brainstorming partner.

Scot Duke - [blog, twitter] – Mr. Golf Business seems to be living my dream by mixing my favorite past time and business into a way of life.

Steve O’Grady – [blog, twitter] – Former co-worker and founder of Redmonk. Steve is a very talented guy who mixes technology, music, and Red Sox passion into a living tapestry.

I hope you are all up for the challenge.

Enjoy
